River Region The Texas Hill Country’s River Region’s huge live oaks, elms, maples and pecans hardwoods cover the hills. In the spring the Texas wildflowers blanket the countryside and the rich colors of fall are just as stunning. The distinctive topography of hills, steep cliffs, caves, wide canyon floors and crystal clear spring fed rivers have endeared the area to many.

Movie Recently the magic of the Utopia area lead to a major motion picture, starring Robert Duvall, to be filmed here. The movie, “Seven Days in Utopia” is set to be released in September of 2011.
